Our natural baby alpaca comes from the Peruvian Patoral eco system of high altitude pastures at 11,000 to 20,000 feet.

They graze on land that is free of fertilizers and pesticides.

The herders practice a philosophy of ÒPachamamaÓ to develop harmony between man and the mother earth and to preserve the alpacasÕ welfare. Each alpaca in the herd has a name suited to its particular personality.

We purchase the highest quality alpaca fiber which comes from the soft hair of the baby in the colors of "paqo" (brown) or "yuraq" (black or charcoal). Alpaca fiber is almost even seven times warmer than sheep wool and much softer and silkier. Our exotic lightweight bedding is undyed, made of natural color of the alpaca with a fluffy, unsheared finish.
